freedom in christ gets going in Colombia

Neil Anderson held several conferences in Colombia many years ago. In the fall of 2019 Roberto Reed, Latin American Area Director and Modesto Calvo, a Catholic Priest and FIC leader in Spain visited Colombia and offered a 'Making Fruitful Disciples' training event for pastors and leaders. The fruit of that trip was the formation of a pioneer team and leader. 
We are delighted to announce that Rubén Jaime Gutiérrez Rubio has been appointed as the National Co-ordinator for Colombia and Gonzalo Jiménez Marín as the Assistant Co-ordinator for Colombia with leaders in almost all of the regions of the country working with many different churches and denominations. Rubén says 'I live in Bogotá, Colombia. I am a beloved child of God in whom he is well pleased, seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I am married to Liliana Bonilla; we have four children and four grandchildren. I believe that I am God's workmanship in Christ for the plan that he prepared in advance for me and my family. Having understood and lived who I am in Christ has taught me to be more responsible before God, as well as to have more balanced emotions, to be able to forgive and enjoy much more of His grace; to be free from guilt, shame, and fear is true freedom. As a living testimony of this transformation I am committed to share this with leaders and pastors so that they also help others come to freedom in Christ. This is the reason and purpose of my call to work with Freedom in Christ'.

En el otoño de 2019, Roberto Reed, Director de Regional de Latino América y Modesto Calvo, un sacerdote católico y líder del LEC España dieron el taller 'Hacer Discípulos que dan Fruto'. Fruto de ese viaje fue el identificar a un equipo pionero y un líder. Nos complace anunciar que Rubén Jaime Gutiérrez ha sido designado como Coordinador Nacional para Colombia y Gonzalo Jiménez Marín como Coordinador Asistente para Colombia con líderes en casi todas las regiones y se trabaja con muchas iglesias y denominaciones. Rubén dice 'Vivo en Bogotá Colombia. Soy un hijo amado de Dios en el cual Él se complace, sentado en lugares celestiales con Cristo Jesús. Estoy casado con Liliana Bonilla y tenemos cuatro hijos y cuatro nietos. Creo que soy hechura de Dios en Cristo para el plan que El preparó de antemano para mí y mi familia. El haber comprendido, entendido y vivido quién soy en Cristo, me ha enseñado a ser más responsable ante Dios, así como tener emociones más equilibradas, poder perdonar, disfrutar mucho más de su gracia; sentirme libre de la culpa, la vergüenza y el temor. Ser un testimonio vivo de esta transformación me compromete a compartirla con líderes y pastores para que ellos también lo hagan con otros, de modo que experimenten y vivan la libertad que Dios nos ofrece en Cristo. Esa es la razón y propósito de mi llamado a trabajar con Libertad en Cristo.'
As the National Assistant Co-ordinator for Colombia, Gonzalo will be working closely with Rubén and says 'I am a child of God that is a part of his family, seated with Christ in heavenly places, and blessed with every kind of spiritual blessing. I have understood who I am in Christ and who Christ is in me. I have been called to serve in the work of the Lord in Freedom in Christ, as an instrument of God, anointed to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim freedom to the captives, to give sight to the blind; and to set the oppressed free. I am married to Luz Miriam Scarpetta who is the Freedom in Christ Prayer Co-ordinator for both Colombia and Latin America'.
Como Coordinador Asistente Nacional para Colombia, Gonzalo trabajará en estrada colaboración con Rubén y dice 'Soy un hijo de Dios, incorporado a su familia, sentado con Cristo en lugares celestiales y bendecido con todo tipo de bendición espiritual. He entendido quién soy en Cristo y quién es Cristo en mí. He sido llamado a servir en la obra del Señor en Libertad En Cristo, como instrumento de Dios ungido para dar buenas nuevas a los pobres; me ha enviado a sanar a los quebrantados de corazón; a pregonar libertad a los cautivos, a dar vista a los ciegos; y a poner en libertad a los oprimidos. Estoy casado con Luz Miriam Scarpetta quien es el coordinador de oración por Libertad en Cristo para Colombia y Latino América.
Roberto Reed, Latin America Area Director, together with his wife Nancy have been so encouraged by how Freedom in Christ is developing across Latin America. He says 'It has been a joy-filled journey to equip and walk with our national leaders in training in four countries in Latin America over the last year. It’s exciting to not only have one but two leaders per country - a National co-ordinator and and an Assistant National Co-ordinator in Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Venezuela. It is an honor to present these eight men and women of God to you and welcome them as national country leaders into the international Freedom in Christ family'.

Rob dice 'Ha sido un peregrinaje lleno de gozo el capacitar y caminar al lado de nuestros líderes nacionales en formación decuatro países de Latino América durante el último año. Es emocionante no solo contar con un líder, sino dos líderes por país: un coordinador nacional y un coordinador nacional asistente en Colombia, Costa Rica, el Ecuador y Venezuela. Es un honor presentarles a estos ocho hombres y mujeres de Dios y darles la bienvenida como líderes nacionales a la familia internacional de Libertad en Cristo'.
